I left home at 17 and was homeless. I always wanted to go to university. When it came to finances I knew I had to strongly consider this before applying, and even more since my parents were out of the picture.
I believe strongly in giving cheerfully. Whether you believe in the saying “what goes around comes around,” I tried to live it. I didn’t have much time or energy, but almost every lunch I would play piano at my church in Collingwood. I'd always wanted to give but never actually had the money to, so I gave everything I could in joy, giving and not expecting anything in return. Little did I know that later I would graduate high school receiving a scholarship from the Mouse and Ru Scholarship Fund. I can’t be more grateful.
I’m so excited to go to university, I am blessed to be attending because of the support from people like you. Everybody has a purpose and a calling, thank you for supporting me to find mine.
